The god is seated on a throne under a canopy of Doric columns (= inside the temple) that is framed by two tripods. An omphalos (hemispherical shaped, with stemmata) is in front. Next to it a bearded man with a long staff who watches the procession as it approaches. Led by a kanephoros, the procession further includes seven male youths all wrapped in himatia and wearing laurel wreaths. The kanephoros is richly dressed and holds the kanoun with both hands. There is a thymiaterion (Zacc. TypB²) between the two youths following her. The third youth holds a phiale in his r. hand. Two sacrificial bulls are led by the following three figures. The iconography and composition link this vase to the Parthenon Frieze. Le centaure amène un animal pour le sacrifice. Une des deux femme est courbée en avant tenant un objet qu’elle semble offrir à la divinité.
