Description: votive relief, relief, Attica – Material: marble – Dating: -400/-375 – Discovery: Athens – Description: Auf der linken Seite steht Theseus mit Mantel unter dem Arm, wohl auf einen Stab gestützt (der untere Teil ist nicht mehr zu erkennen, vielleicht war er aufgemalt), er trägt einen pilos auf dem Kopf und hatte ursprünglich einen aufgemalten Gegenstand in der Hand (vielleicht eine Keule). Vor ihm stehen zwei Adoranten mit erhobenem rechten Arm, zwischen Theseus und den Adoranten ist ein niedriger, flach gewölbter Altar zu sehen. Die Darstellung weist auf ein Übergangsritual für den Knaben hin, der von seinem Vater dem Theseus vorgestellt (und unter dessen Schutz gestellt wird), ähnlich dem Apatourienfest, an dem das Kind der Phratrie vorgestellt wird. – Inscriptions: griech.
