Am Korb oder dahinter an der Wand ist eine Tänie befestigt. Mittig fliegt Eros mit einer Tänie heran, links von ihm hängt eine Lekythos und ein sakkos an der Wand. Hinter der Braut steht ein Frau, die ihr gerade den Schleier anlegt. Dahinter befinden sich drei weitere Personen, die eine mit Korb (?) und Tänie, die andere mit geöffnetem Kästchen, die dritte mit Spiegel (?).

Von links nähern sich weitere Klagefrauen, in der Szene rechts ein Zug von Kriegern mit toten Tieren zur Bahre. Die Krieger tragen Schwert und Dolch (machaira) mit Ausnahme des 5. bis 7. Kriegers. Der 6. und 7. halten eine Reihe toter Vögel und in ihrer Rechten einen länglichen Gegenstand, der ein Messer mit breiter Klinge sein könnte. Ganz rechts folgt das mythische Doppelwesen Aktorione. Auf der Rückseite ist ein Dreifuss, ein Krieger und ein Wesen mit zwei behelmten Köpfen sowie vier Armen und Beinen. In einer unteren Zone Wagenrennen. Identifiziert werden kann die Szene anhand der Präsenz des Doppelwesens Aktorione, das laut Homer bei den Leichenspielen des Königs Amarynkeus gegen Nestor antrat (Il. 23, 638–642). – Dimensions: H: 1,3 m; Dm Mund: 0,825 m

Description: cup, vase painting, Attica – Material: terracotta – Artist: Onesimos – Dating: -500/-490 – Discovery: Cerveteri, Caere – Description: Seite A: Herakles mit Pfeil und Bogen, nackt bis auf das Löwenfell greift einen zurückweichenden bärtigen Mann vor einem Altar (mit Basis und Volutenaufsatz) an. Links und rechts fliehen weitere Personen mit Mantel, der rechte trägt einen Korb, der linke hat die rechten Arm erhoben, vor ihm ein Dreifussständer. Aufgrund der Beischrift kann der bärtige Mann vor Herakles als Ops identifiziert werden, es handelt sich daher wohl nicht um eine Szene aus dem Bousiris-Mythos. Seite B: Kampfszene mit fünf Männern vor zwei Klinen, auf denen Kissen und Mäntel liegen, links laufen zwei nackte bärtige Krieger mit Schwert und Bogen nach rechts, vor ihnen Herakles mit Löwenfell, die linke Faust seinem zurückweichenden Gegner entgegengestreckt; dahinter ein Bärtiger in kurzem Gewand mit Pantherfell über dem Arm. Innenbild: Herakles mit Löwenfell und Köcher über der Schulter hält Pfeil und Bogen in der Linken und die auf dem Boden abgesetzte Keule in der Rechten. Hinter ihm ist stark fragmentarisch eine kleinere Figur mit flachem Hut und Stab in der Hand zu erkennen (Hermes?). – Dimensions: H: 10,8 cm; Dm: 32,7 cm
