The god is seated on a throne under a canopy of Doric columns (= inside the temple) that is framed by two tripods. An omphalos (hemispherical shaped, with stemmata) is in front. Next to it a bearded man with a long staff who watches the procession as it approaches. Led by a kanephoros, the procession further includes seven male youths all wrapped in himatia and wearing laurel wreaths. The kanephoros is richly dressed and holds the kanoun with both hands. There is a thymiaterion (Zacc. TypB²) between the two youths following her. The third youth holds a phiale in his r. hand. Two sacrificial bulls are led by the following three figures. The iconography and composition link this vase to the Parthenon Frieze. Description: crater: volute crater, vase painting, red figured, Apulia – Material: terracotta – Artist: Ganymed Painter – Discovery: (not specified) – Description: Vasenbild in zwei Registern: oben Hades auf einem Thron mit Fussschemel, ein Szepter in der Linken, die Rechte reicht er dem vor ihm stehenden Krieger in voller Rüstung (vielleicht der verstorbene Amphiaraos). Rechts schliessen eine Frau mit zwei Fackeln (Hekabe) und die sitzende Dike mit einem Schwert an. Links der zentralen Szene eine sitzende weibliche Figur, der ein nackter junger Mann einen Kranz reicht. Zwischen den Figuren ein pilos, Schwert und Schild, mehrere Schalen (mit Griff und mit Omphalos) und eine Vase. Unten: ein von Hermes mit kerykeion geführtes Viergespann auf dem ein Krieger mit zwei Speeren sitzt, (Wagenlenker?), ganz links ein nackter Krieger mit pilos.
