Es handelt sich um eine italisch-etruskische, signifikant einheimische Form (weit ausladende Profile und winziger Altarkörper). Diese Form bestand bis in die späte Republik, später nur noch in Einzelfällen aufgegriffen, verschwand in der Kaiserzeit, bei der augusteischen Neuregelung der Altargestalt orientierte man sich an der griechischen Tradition. A droite Dionysos tenant un phiale, à gauche Satyros avec cithare.
