Description: cup, vase painting, red figured, Attica – Material: terracotta – Artist: Epiktetos – Dating: -510 – Discovery: Vulci – Description: Szene aus dem Herakles-Bousiris-Mythos: Herakles packt den beide Arme in die Luft streckenden Bousiris mit der Linken am Hals und drückt ihn neben dem Altar (Seitenansicht: Basis, flacher rechteckiger Altarkörper, Deckplatte, Volutenaufsatz) zu Boden, mit der Rechten holt er mit seiner Keule aus. Zu beiden Seiten fliehen je zwei Ägypter, die ein Messer, eine Doppelaulos und eine Oinochoe tragen, auf dem Boden liegt eine ein kanoun (Opferkorb) und eine kithara.

Vor dem Altar lehnt ein Opfermesser. Es handelt sich um einen rechteckigen Block-Altar (Basis, Blutspuren, Deckplatte, seitlicher Giebel ohne Voluten und Dekor, Palmettenakrotere). Zu beiden Seiten laufen fliehende Priester davon, die teilweise Gegenstände tragen: der erste einen kanoun, der dritte ein Bündel obeloi. Zischen den Fliehenden liegt eine kleine Kanne (oinochoe).
