In einem ionischen Säulenbau (durch Inschrift am Architrav als Heiligtum von Eleusis ausgewiesen) sind Medea (inschriftlich benannt) und ein alter Mann (im Typus des Pädagogen oder Boten) im Gespräch miteinander verbunden. Athena mit Nike oben links, auf der Gegenseite die beiden eleusinischen Göttinnen, links unten die Dioskuren, hier durch Kreuzfackeln als eleusinische Mysten gekennzeichnet und Herakles, zu dem Iris als Botin tritt. Unterhalb des Tempels sitzen zwei Knaben. Die Anwesenheite der Medea deutet darauf hin, dass es sich hier um ihre Söhne handelt. – Dimensions: H: 88 cm; H (mit Voluten): 100 cm – Inscriptions: Am Giebel des Tempels: ????S?S ?? ?????.

In einem ionischen Säulenbau (durch Inschrift am Architrav als Heiligtum von Eleusis ausgewiesen) sind Medea (inschriftlich benannt) und ein alter Mann (im Typus des Pädagogen oder Boten) im Gespräch miteinander verbunden. Athena mit Nike oben links, auf der Gegenseite die beiden eleusinischen Göttinnen, links unten die Dioskuren, hier durch Kreuzfackeln als eleusinische Mysten gekennzeichnet und Herakles, zu dem Iris als Botin tritt. Unterhalb des Tempels sitzen zwei Knaben. Die Anwesenheite der Medea deutet darauf hin, dass es sich hier um ihre Söhne handelt. – Dimensions: H: 88 cm; H (mit Voluten): 100 cm – Inscriptions: Am Giebel des Tempels: ????S?S ?? ?????.
