Der Ephebe in der Mitte hält einen Kranz (Hamiaux: bandelette?). Hinter dem Altar Knabe mit Korb mit Kuchen, von denen er einige auf den Altar legt. Vor dem Altar Ziege.

Description: stamnos, vase painting, red figured, Attica – Material: terracotta – Artist: Eupolis Painter – Dating: -460/-440 – Discovery: Vulci – Description: In der Mitte der Szene eine Herme mit Dionysos-Maskenidol, bekleidet mit einem Chiton. Die Statue ist bekränzt, aus ihrem Hinterkopf wächst eine buschige Efeuranke. Vor der Herme steht ein Tisch, auf dem Opfergaben stehen: Opferkuchen (oder Brot) und Fleisch. Zwei weibliche Figuren flankieren das Idol: die rechte trägt eine oinochoe und einen kanoun, die linke einen kantharos und einen thyrsos. Zuordnung zu Fest: Lenaia (Simon, Parke); Anthesteria (Burkert); Dionysos-Fest allgemein (Frontisi-Ducroux).
