Ein anderer streut aus einem gemusterten Kanoun mit drei sehr hohen, massiv wirkenden runden Henkeln, auf denen aber Verstrebungen angedeutet sind – an der Spitze der Henkel je ein kleiner Zweig – Opfergerste in das Feuer. Links hinter ihm nähern sich zwei Symposiasten mit Kylikes dem Altar, um ebenfalls zu spenden. Hinter dem Libierenden kommt ein alter bärtiger Mann mit Stock heran, der die Rechte erhoben hält. B-Seite: Dionysos mit Rhyton auf Esel. Um ihn herum sind Maenaden und Satyroi mit Trauben, Kantharos, Amphora und Weinschlauch.

Description: cup, vase painting, red figured, Attica – Material: terracotta – Artist: Ambrosios Painter – Dating: -510/-490 – Discovery: Vulci – Description: Innenbild: Krieger; A-Seite: Opferszene: Über einem brennenden Altar (Blockaltar ohne Basis, verziertes Abschlussprofil, Deckplatte, nach unten gerollte Voluten, darauf Holzstoss) libiert ein Mann aus einem Kantharos. Ein anderer streut aus einem gemusterten Kanoun mit drei sehr hohen, massiv wirkenden runden Henkeln, auf denen aber Verstrebungen angedeutet sind – an der Spitze der Henkel je ein kleiner Zweig – Opfergerste in das Feuer. Links hinter ihm nähern sich zwei Symposiasten mit Kylikes dem Altar, um ebenfalls zu spenden. Hinter dem Libierenden kommt ein alter bärtiger Mann mit Stock heran, der die Rechte erhoben hält. B-Seite: Dionysos mit Rhyton auf Esel. Um ihn herum sind Maenaden und Satyroi mit Trauben, Kantharos, Amphora und Weinschlauch.
