Description: votive relief, relief – Material: marble – Dating: -360/-340 – Discovery: AthensAsclepieion – Description: To the far r. a shrine (Stylobat, dorische, kannelierte Säulen, Architrav, Giebel mit Akroteren) carved in very high relief, in which stands Asklepios, wearing a himation, with a snake coiled up the staff at his side; behind him stands Hygieia, with her hand on his shoulder. In front of them sits Epione with a bowl (?) on her knees. A goose sits beneath her stool. To the r., on a shorter block carved in lower relief (in architektonischer Rahmung: Stylobat, Pfeiler, Architrav, Ziegeldach), a file of mortals approach the gods: a young slave leads a sacrificial pig. They are followed by ten adults and two children, and finally a maidservant carrying a large basket on her head. On the narrow side at r. is a herm; to the far l., behind the temple, Hekate holding torches and wearing a polos is carved in low relief.
