Kadmos (links) trägt langes Haar, Stiefel, einen kurzen Mantel und einen Pilos auf dem Kopf. Quer über seine Brust verläuft ein Riemen, an dem ein Schwert befestigt ist. In der Linken hält er eine Wasserkannne, während er mit der geballten Rechten zum Schlag ausholt. Die Szene ist umgeben von einigen, vor allem weiblichen Figuren. Links und rechts rahmt je eine stehende Frauenfigur in langem durchscheinendem Gewand die Kampfgruppe. Die eine links hält eine flache kleine Schale (evtl. Harmonia?), diejenige rechts hält einen Zweig (Thebe?). Über der Szene sind vier Büsten zu erkennen: Hermes mit Kerykeion und Petasos, eine weibliche Figur mit Spiegel (Krenaia?) sowie weiter rechts Pan und ein junger Silen mit Kranz und Thyrsos.
